Who We Are Looking For:

The Senior Security Consulting Engineer is responsible for working with CYPRO customers to identify their business and technical security requirements to design and implement world-class security solutions. This position requires a blend of technical competence and customer service skills to successfully run a staff augmentation engagement from discovery to project closure. You will work directly customers to implement optimal solutions and deliver value to our customers.  

What will you be doing as a Senior Security Consulting Engineer

• Design and implement security solutions across multiple security domains and technologies  
• Work closely with customers to identify and understand their business requirements and apply relevant security solutions to reduce their overall security risk  
• Create and implement security configurations following documented project plans. Create customer documentation including as-built documentation, diagrams, and support information  
• Perform analysis and diagnose complex  information security system problems  
• Apply analytical skills and technical knowledge to solve problems that are moderate - difficult in complexity  
• Utilize knowledge of technology, products, and services to build enterprise security solutions  
• Invest time in security research, stay up to date on current and evolving threats, and continue education in learning and providing expert-level advice on security solutions across multiple domains and technologies  
• Effectively utilize lab setups to learn recreate and solve problems  

Required education, technical skills, and/or experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and/or 8+ years of experience in a related field  
• 5+ years of experience working in security architecture, operations, design, or development across multiple domains in Information Security.  
• Strong desire to learn and grow in a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative work environment.   
• Hands-on experience with key security technologies, including Firewalls, IDS, IPS, VPN, Remote Access, Security Logging, Rapid Threat Containment Solutions, and Network Security Orchestration tools  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate technical issues to nontechnical and technical audiences

PREFERRED EDUCATION, TECHNICAL SKILLS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:  

• CCIE Security and/or CISSP  
• Advanced experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)  
• A minimum of 7 years of information security-related work experience, including consulting experience in the cyber security field  
• Strong communication/presentation skills and professional appearance/demeanor with the ability to interact with client personnel in both technical and leadership roles
